Answer:

There was no session of Maryland because it was the border between Virginia, and D.C., two states oppositional in their point of views. Virginia, who was a major confederacy US state at the time and D.C. who was a major federalist US state at the time. To avoid a problematic conflict between both states Maryland remained neutral in times of the war against slavery and the aftermath, thus refusing to join the confederacy.

What role did religion play in the founding of english colonies?
faust18 [17]
I'm going to assume this is about the eventually-thirteen colonies, but ask if you need it for different English colonies. Essentially, religious groups like Quakers and Protestants were outnumbered and persecuted against in England so they went to America, where they in turn persecuted against those who where different from them with acts such as banishing. (example: mormons when "Manifest Destiny" began).

The differential threshold is defined as the minimum amount in which something changes so that someone notices a difference in 50% of the time. This concept applies to all the senses: hearing, touch, smell, taste, and vision. The change must be perceived before the stimulus reacts to it. In this example, the change of the barista who makes the coffee makes Katie notice the difference in taste.
