The girls finished our training, got our wings, in six months; took the boys nine months, but you know they were a little slower

than we were. But, anyway, we flew pretty much seven days a week, and there were at that time, 25,000 women applied to become members of the Women's Air Force Service Pilots. Only 1800 were accepted, and out of that, 1,074 graduated and received our wings. -Nell Stevenson Bright.
