Answer: 67

Step-by-step explanation:

I think this could be solved using division. 1000 / 15 is 66.66666, but I would round that to 67.

Given the area of a square is 225 square feet, what is the length of each side
alexdok [17]
The area of a square can be found by squaring one side.

Let's set the side as x feet.

x^2=225
x=square root of 225
x=15

The length of each side is 15 feet.

Hope this helps!

I am lost can anyone help
Rina8888 [55]

I would recommend taking a picture of the instructions because I am not sure if you need to find the equation of the line that is parallel or perpendicular, so I will do both.

1. (3 , 2); y = 3x - 2

If the line is parallel to the given equation, the slopes have to be the SAME, so the slope(m) is 3

y = mx + b

y = 3x + b

To find b you plug in the point (3, 2) into the equation

2 = 3(3) + b

2 = 9 + b

-7 = b

The equation of the line that is parallel to the given equation is:

y = 3x - 7

To find the equation of the line that is perpendicular to the given equation, the slope has to be the exact opposite of the given slope. (you flip the sign and the number of the given slope to get the perpendicular line's slope)

The given slope is 3, the perpendicular slope is -\frac{1}{3}

y = mx + b

y = -\frac{1}{3} x + b

To find b, you plug in the point (3 , 2) into the equation

2 = -\frac{1}{3} (3) + b

2 = -1 + b

3 = b

The equation of the line perpendicular to the given equation is:

y = -\frac{1}{3} x +3

Which equation could have been used to create this function table?
alina1380 [7]
A) y=3x
You can plug in the given values (inputs) of x to see if it creates the number in y (output).
3*1=3
3*2=6
3*3=9
3*4=12
3*5=15
3*6=18

All these values are true, therefore the equation y=3x is the correct answer.
