honestly it depends, in some scenarios people can realize they have an issue and change but sometimes they can go their whole life without realizing the issues within them. They can still realize they issue but stay the way they are because once you start acting that way its hard to turn back kinda like a drug. But i do believe that sometimes people can change if they get the right help and have the good people around them, it wont erase the past but maybe a better future. So in the end whether she can change or not has many possibilities and will be up to her to change her ways. So sorry that happened to you and hope you are doing better now:)
