What is assault and battery
Leto [7]

Hello!

According to the internet, assult and battery is "the crime of threatening a person together with the act of making physical contact with them."

Another website tells us that assult is an act of physical violence against someone, while battery is the actual act of causing harm. I dont know if my paraphrasing made much sense, so heres the actual thing:

In an act of physical violence by one person against another, "assault" is usually paired with battery. In an act of physical violence, assault refers to the act which causes the victim to apprehend imminent physical harm, while battery refers to the actual act causing the physical harm.

Hope I helped!

Which of these best explains the paradox presented in the poem "Homework"?
Brums [2.3K]
The paradox in the poem "Homework" is presented as (C) 'Though an international clean-up is needed, the solution is not as simple as cleaning laundry'. This is because the author pretends that he is doing laundry with the 'world' but cites many instances or nations that need 'cleaning up', for example: 'I'd wash the Amazon River and clean the oily Carib & Gulf of Mexico' as well as 'Cleanse the Hudson Thames & Neckar'.

I believe that the thoughts or feelings the first two stanzas of Wordworth's The Solitary Reaper convey the speaker's admiration for and gratitude to the reaper.
He constantly repeats that she is doing all these things on her own, and that her song is welcome.
