At 2:30 there was 31 pints
1 and half hours later (4pm) 9 pints of water was gone
So if it’s constant rate like they say...
1 hour and half after 4pm is 6:30 so you should of lost 9 more pints
22-9= 13 pints but that none of the choices is that so I’m not sure but that how you would do it

Which relation is a function? Graph with 5 points plotted at (negative 3, 2), (negative 2, 2), (negative 1, 2), (negative 2, neg
Olenka [21]

Answer:

use the verticle line test. if a verticle line touches two points on the graph then it is not a function, if the verticle line only touches one point then it is a function.

for your question the answer is the 3rd option - Graph with 5 points plotted at (negative 3, 2), (negative 2, negative 1), (0, 3), (1, 0), and (2, negative 3)

Make X the subject of the formula<br><br><br>will mark brainliest!!
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

y =  \frac{x + 2}{x - 4}  \\ xy - 4y = x + 2 \\ xy - x = 4y + 2 \\ x(y - 1) = 4y + 2 \\ x =  \frac{4y + 2}{y - 1}  \\  \boxed{x =  \frac{2(2y + 1)}{y - 1} }

hope this helps.

Need help badly don’t have answer to this problem.
NikAS [45]
There are a couple of ways to tackle this one, using the 45-45-90 rule or just using the pythagorean theore, let's use the pythagorean theorem.

the angle at A is 45°, and its opposite side is BC, the angle at C is 45° as well, and its opposite side is AB, well, the angles are the same, thus BC = AB.

hmmm le'ts call hmmm ohh hmmm say z, thus BC = AB = z.

\bf \textit{using the pythagorean theorem}&#10;\\\\&#10;c^2=a^2+b^2 \implies (6\sqrt{2})^2=z^2+z^2&#10;\qquad &#10;\begin{cases}&#10;c=\stackrel{6\sqrt{2}}{hypotenuse}\\&#10;a=\stackrel{z}{adjacent}\\&#10;b=\stackrel{z}{opposite}\\&#10;\end{cases}\\\\\\ 6^2(\sqrt{2})^2=2z^2\implies 36(2)=2z^2\implies \cfrac{36(2)}{2}=z^2\implies 36=z^2&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\sqrt{36}=z\implies 6=z

(3x) + (x+60) = 180

4x + 60 = 180

Subtract 60 from both sides

4x = 120

Divide 4 from both sides

x = 30
