In a triangle, the three angles ALWAYS add up to 180°

x + (6x + 10) + (x + 2) = 180

8x + 12 = 180

8x = 168

x = 21

To calculate the measure of each angle, substitute x in:

Angle A: 21

Angle B: 6(21)+10

Angle C: 21 + 2

Do the angles add up to 180 degrees? Just add the answer for A B and C and see if the sum is 180. It should be 180, if it isn't something is wrong with the calculation.

I need to know if the following questions are true or false
Triss [41]

Answer:

False

Step-by-step explanation:

To find <A, we can do 5x - 80 = 3x + 20.

As we simplify, we will get 2x = 100, which is x = 50

Therefore, <A will be 50 degrees and not 45 degrees.

Also, if you need y, you can do:

3y - 7 = y + 7

2y = 14

y = 7

5x=4y+8 3y=3x-3 using elimination
suter [353]
Let's rewrite the equation with x and y on the left side of the equal sign.
5x-4y=8 --------(1)
3x-3y=3---------(2)
Divide equation (2) by 3,
x - y= 1
now we have,
5x-4y = 8 --------(1)
x - y = 1 ---------(2)
To eliminate x, multiply equation (2) by 5. This makes both the coefficients of x to be 5. Subtract the second equation from the first equation.
5x - 4y = 8
(2) * 5 5x - 5y = 5
(-) (+) (-)
----------------
 0x +y =3
 Therefore, y=3
 Substitute the value of y, in any one of the two equations. Let's substitute y in the second equation.
 x-3=1
 x=4
 x=4 and y=3

GrogVix [38]

Given:

m \angle A B D=96^{\circ}

m \angle 2 =m \angle 1+ 26^{\circ}

To find:

m \angle 1

Solution:

m \angle DBC+ m \angle CBA = m \angle ABD

m \angle 1+ m \angle 2 = m \angle ABD

Substitute m \angle 2 =m \angle 1+ 26^{\circ}.

m \angle 1+ m \angle 1 + 26^\circ = 96^\circ

2m \angle 1+ 26^\circ = 96^\circ

Subtract 26° from both sides.

2m \angle 1+ 26^\circ -26^\circ = 96^\circ -26^\circ

2m \angle 1 = 70^\circ

Divide by 2 on both sides, we get

m \angle 1=35^{\circ}

Therefore, m∠1 = 35°.
