a=b=33400 J

c=4180 J

Further explanation

Heat can be calculated using the formula:

Q = mc∆T

Q = heat, J

m = mass, g

c = specific heat, joules / g ° C

∆T = temperature difference, ° C / K

The heat to change the phase can be formulated :

Q = mLf (melting/freezing)

Q = mLv (vaporization/condensation)

Lf=latent heat of fusion

Lv=latent heat of vaporization

The heat of fusion for water at 0 °C : 334 J/g and the heat of vaporization at 100 °C : 2,230J/g

a. melting

\tt Q=100.334=33400~J

b. freezing

\tt Q=100.334=33400~J

c.raise the temperature(c water = 4.18 J/g C)

\tt Q=100\times 4.18\times (20-10)=4180~J

What mass of chlorine gas is contained in a 10.0 L tank at 31.0° C and 3.50 atm?
jeyben [28]
You need to use the ideal gas law (PV=nRT) and solve for n. ((3.50atm•10.0L)/(0.0821(L•atm/mol•K)•304K) = n = 1.40 moles. 1 mole of Cl2 = 70.9 gm/mole. The mass would be 99.43 gm

How can I identify when the reaction is in equilibrium
masha68 [24]

Answer:

Chemical equilibrium, however, is always the point at which there is no bias towards creating products or reactants. If the forward reaction rate and reverse reaction rate are equal, then there is no net change in concentration of the reactants or products. This makes them appear to be stable.
