Answer:

m<C = 113°

Step-by-step explanation:

m<A = 67° (given)

Recall: opposite angles in any inscribed quadrilateral in a circle are equal to 180° or are supplements of one another.

This implies that:

m<A + m<C = 180°

Substitute

67° + m<C = 180°

Subtract 67° from each side

m<C = 180° - 67°

m<C = 113°

PLEASE HELP ASAP!!! CORRECT ANSWER ONLY PLEASE!!!
Burka [1]

Answer:  d) 0.9693

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

refer to the z-table attached.

The table shows the percent from the MEAN.  The percent below the mean is 50% so that needs to be added to the value in the table.

Look on the left side for 1.8 and the top for 0.07 (which is 1.87).

The value is 0.4693 --> add 0.5 to that value to get 0.9693.

Solve for y<br> 4.2x - 1.4y = 2.1
Harlamova29_29 [7]
4.2x - 1.4y = 2.1    |multiply both sides by 10

42x - 14y = 21    |subtract 42x from both sides

-14y = 21 - 42x    |change signs

14y = 42x - 21    |divide both sides by 14

y = 3x - 1.5

In a particular class, exams are worth 50% of the overall grade, quizzes are worth 30% of the overall grade, homework is worth 1
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

The student's overall grade is 85.79%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given in the question that:

Exam = 50%; Quiz = 30%, Home work = 15% and Class participation = 5%

The total giving us 100%.

A particular student scored the following;

87.9% on exams, 77.8% quiz, 90% Home work and 100%  on class participation

Calculating the percentages the student had for each;

Exam total = 50*0.879 = 43.95% earned

Quiz = 30*0.778 = 23.34% earned

Home work = 15*0.9 = 13.5% earned

Class participation = 5*1 = 5% earned

Total earned = 43.95+ 23.34 + 13.5+ 5 = 85.79%

Can you help me i don’t know the answers
Advocard [28]
1)

An irrational number is a number that a) can't be written as a fraction of two whole numbers AND b) is an infinite decimal without any sort of pattern.

For the first answer choice, clearly \frac{1}{3} does not pass the first criterion so we look at the second choice.

Let's come back to \sqrt{2} and \pi.

\frac{2}{9} doesn't meet our first criterion, and let's skip \sqrt{3} for now.

It is often easier to disprove an irrational number than to prove one. There are a few famous irrationals to know (although there is an infinite number of irrationals). The most common are \sqrt{2}, \pi, e, \sqrt{3}. For now, it's just helpful to know these and recognize them.

So we can check off \sqrt{2}, \pi and \sqrt{3}.

2)

For this next question, we know that \sqrt{64} = 8. Clearly this isn't irrational. Likewise, \frac{1}{2} isn't irrational. \frac{16}{4} = \frac{4}{4} = 1, which is rational, leaving only \frac{ \sqrt{20}}{5} = \frac{2 \sqrt{5} }{5}. By process of elimination, this is the correct answer. Indeed, \sqrt{5} is an irrational number.

3) This notation means that we have 0.3636363636... and so on, to an infinite number of digits. It is called a repeating decimal.

But it can be written as a fraction because its pattern repeats, unlike for an irrational number.

Let's say x=0.36363636.... Would you agree that 100x=36.36363636...? (We choose to multiply by 100 because there are two decimals that repeat. For 1, choose 10, for 3 choose 1,000, and so on.)

Now, let's subtract x from 100x and solve.

100x=36.36363636\\-x \ \ \ \ \ \ \ -0.36363636\\99x=36\\\\x= \dfrac{36}{99}= \dfrac{4}{11}

Voila!
