Write an equation y = kx for the table

Mathematics

Answer:

y = ½x

_____

k = ½

Step-by-step explanation:

[# of donuts] 2 → [total price] $1

[# of donuts] 12 → [total price] $6

[# of donuts] 3 → [total price] $1.50

[# of donuts] 7 → [total price] $3.50

Because price is the dependent variable, it is the y value. And since the price is the y variable, the donuts must be the x value.

Because the price is ½ the # of donuts, y is ½ x which means y = ½x and k = ½.

Rose borrows five dollars from her father to buy items at a gas station. Rose also borrows $11 my from her brother par a rose pa
Aneli [31]
Lets start this by seeing what Rose has done:
first she borrows $5, then she borrows another $11. she then pays back $3.50 of the $5 and $9.50 of the $11.
knowing this, we can use a number line to help solve this problem. first, we would make a mark at 5 on your number line, then go up the number line 11 more times until you reach 16. once youre at 16, you need to jump backwards down the number line 3 1/2 spots. this would leave you at 13 1/2, which would leave a dot halfway in between 13 and 14. now, you need to back 9 1/2 more spots so you can see how much she owes to her brother and father. if youre at 13 1/2 on your number line, and go back, or subtract, 9 1/2 spots you end up 4. this means that Rose owes $4 still. if you do not understand this process, i will include a picture below of my number line and you can follow along to the steps written above on the number line.

Show that the given general solution satisfies the given differential equation, showing all work carefully. Do NOT do this by so
shepuryov [24]

Explanation:

Differentiating the solution, we have ...

  y' = c1 +8c2x^7

  y'' = 56c2x^6

Putting this into the DE, we have ...

  x^2y'' -8xy' +8y = 16 . . . . . . . different from your problem statement

  x^2(56c2x^6) -8x(c1 +8c2x^7) +8(c1x +c2x^8 +2) = 16

  56c2x^8 -8c1x -64c2x^8 +8c1x +8c2x^8 +16 = 16

  x^8(56c2 -64c2 +8c2) +x(-8c1 +8c1) +16 = 16

  0 +16 = 16 . . . . QED
