Folds exhibit DUCTILE deformation. Folds are bent like pattern formed on the upper crust of the rocks. In simple words, folds are bend in rock strata. These are ductile deformation in the rock strata. These are results of compressional stresses on the rocks. Folds are of two types anticlines and synclines.

NEED HELP ASAP!!!!
Name one advantage of light microscopes
over electron microscopes.
Maslowich

Answer:

The biggest advantage is that they have a higher resolution and are therefore also able of a higher magnification (up to 2 million times). Light microscopes can show a useful magnification only up to 1000-2000 times. This is a physical limit imposed by the wavelength of the light.

No. It was an idea that yielded common positive results. “Not a good theory” is biased terminology. New technology can yield new information, but it does not mean that it was not a good theory.

C) What does this cladogram tell you about the evolutionary relationship of the traits of jaws
schepotkina [342]

Answer:

In biology, a cladogram can be described as a diagram which shows evolutionary relationships among different organisms. A cladogram shows which organisms share evolutionary history and which organisms are more closely related to one another.

The cladogram in the above picture shows that the limbs originated after the jaws.

The cladogram shows that amoeba was a common ancestor to sponges, earthworms, salmon, lizards, kangroo and cats.

Which statement is not true? A) Lipids are found in cell membranes. B) Lipids are soluble in organic solvents. C) There are many
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

D.all lipids contain fatty acids.

Explanation:

A.Lipids are fats, like oil, that are insoluble in water. ... The most abundant class of lipid molecule found in cell membranes is the phospholipid. The phospholipid molecule's polar head group contains a phosphate group. It also sports two nonpolar fatty acid chain groups as its tail.

B.The simplest definition is a lipid as any molecule that is insoluble in water and soluble in organic solvents. Most lipids are soluble to some extent in organic solvents such as hexane, ether, chloroform or benzene. They constitute a complex collection organic compounds that include fatty acids, (A,D, E and K).

C.There are two major types of lipids- simple lipids and complex lipids. Simple lipids are esters of fatty acids with various alcohols. For eg., fats and waxes.

D.Not all lipids have fatty acids. The operational definition of a lipid is a biomolecule is that is sufficiently hydrophobic to be more soluble in an organic solvent than in water. The common theme to their structures is a high percentage of hydrocarbon character.

E.Most lipid hormones are steroid hormones, which are usually ketones or alcohols and are insoluble in water. Steroid hormones (ending in '-ol' or '-one') include estradiol, testosterone, aldosterone, and cortisol. ... Amino acid-derived hormones and protein hormones are water-soluble and insoluble in lipids.
