Question one should be obvious..

Mass can't be created not destroyed no matter what, so even in a chemical reaction, the answer will remain. The first answer is correct.

Question two

No, because even when water is broken down, there should only be one molecule of oxygen. The fact there is two means it's incorrect.

Question three

Yes. The equation is perfectly balanced on both sides, so it's safe to say the value of mass remains constant.

A bicyclist travels the first 800 m of a trip with a speed of 10 m/s, the next 500 m with an
bezimeni [28]

Answer:9.18 m/s

Explanation:

The average speed for the entire trip is found ......total distance/total time. Remember r*t=d, so divide both sides by t and get r = d/t.

So the cyclist went 800+500+1200 m = 2500 m for total distance.

10t =800 leads to t=80 sec

5t=500 leads to t=100 sec

13t = 1200 leads to t = 92.3 sec

total time is 272.3 sec

Average speed for the entire trip is 2500 / 272.3 = 9.18 m/s

Air quality is a measure of how clean or polluted the air is. Which of the following is not a common way to determine air qualit
zhuklara [117]

Here we have to choose the way which is not the common way to judge the quality of the air in a particular area.

The measuring the amount of precipitation in the area is not the common way to determine air quality in an area.

The acidity of the rain causes due to the excess amount of CO₂ and SO₂ in an area. Both the gases cause pollution.

The measuring of the amount of a particular gas element is a renowned way to determine the pollution level of an area.

The ozone is a harmful gas so the measuring of  its amount in ground level can identify the level of pollution in the particular area.

3 C2H2(g) → C6H6(g) What is the standard enthalphy change ΔHo, for the reaction represented above? (ΔHof of C2H2(g) is 230 kJ mo
masha68 [24]

Answer: The standard enthalpy change  is -607kJ

Explanation:

The given balanced chemical reaction is,

3C_2H_2(g)\rightarrow C_6H_6(g)

First we have to calculate the enthalpy of reaction (\Delta H^o).

\Delta H^o=H_f_{product}-H_f_{reactant}

\Delta H^o=[n_{C_6H_6}\times \Delta H_f^0_{(C_6H_6)}]-[n_{C_2H_2\times \Delta H_f^0_{(C_2H_2)}]

where,

We are given:

\Delta H^o_f_{(C_2H_2)}=230kJ/mol\\\Delta H^o_f_{(C_6H_6)}=83kJ/mol

Putting values in above equation, we get:

\Delta H^o_{rxn}=[(1\times 83)]-[(3\times 230)]=-607kJ

The standard enthalpy change  is -607kJ
