Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

-3x + 10 = 5x - 8                   Add 8 to both sides

-3x + 10 + 8 = 5x                  Add 3x to both sides

18 = 8x                                  Divide by 8

18/8 = x

x  = 2 3/8

x = 2.375

Find the number that makes the 2 fractions equivalent 3/8=9/?
Lorico [155]

Answer:

24

Step-by-step explanation:

The numerator of the equivalent fraction of 3/8 is 9. From this, we can see that the common factor that is being multiplied is 3. So the denominator, 8, has to be multiplied by 3 as well which gives you 24. 9/24 is an equivalent fraction of 3/8

Okay so there are 100 white balloons, 200 pink balloons, and we are specified that the ratio of pink to yellow is 10:1 soo we can plug 200:20 which can be simplified to 100:10 which can then be simplified to 10:1 there is our ratio. So there are 29 yellow balloons. Therefore there are only 80 balloons left which would mean there are 80 blue balloons!:)

Which linear inequality is represented by the graph?
Ksju [112]

Tthe inequality that describes this graph is y ≤ 1/3x - 4/3

How to determine the linear inequality represented by the graph?

The graph that completes the question is added as an attachment

From the attached graph, we have the following points

(0, -1.3) and (3, -0.3)

The slope is calculated as:

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

Substitute the known values in the above equation

m = (-0.3 + 1.3)/(3 - 0)

Evaluate

m = 1/3

The equation is then calculated as:

y = m(x - x1) + y1

This gives

y = 1/3(x - 0) - 1.3

Evaluate

y = 1/3x - 4/3

From the graph, we have the following highlights:

  • The line of the graph is a closed line
  • The upper part is shaded

The first highlight above implies, the inequality can be any of ≥ and ≤

While the second highlight above implies, the inequality is ≤

Hence, the inequality that describes this graph is y ≤ 1/3x - 4/3
