What you do is multiply a and c, which gives you 10. Find the factors of 10 that might add up to the b(middle factor), which is 7. The factors that add up to 7 are 5 and 2, which makes the answer (x+2)(x+5). Hope it makes sense
its 4 becouse negative numbers are immediatly lower than possitive numbers. But if it were -4 and -8 then -8 would be the greater one. Hope it helped :)
