This rectangular tank is filled with water to a height of 4 centimeters. How much more water is needed to fill the tank complete
Lelechka [254]

so calculate the Volume of the water that is already in the tank

so l x w x h

4 x 18 x 12

=864cm^3 is in the tank

find the total volume of the tank:

6 x 18 x 12

=1296cm^3

and subtract the current from the total to find what you need:

1296cm^3 - 864cm^3

= 432 cm^3

you can also find how much you need by using the remaining 2cm from the height (6-4=2) and use the volume formula with 2 substituted as the height and you’ll get the same answer

What is the equation of the line, in point-slope form, that passes through the points (9, 1) and (4, 16)?
Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

<h2>B. y - 1 = -3(x - 9)</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The point-slope form of an equation of a line:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

m - slope

(x₁, y₁) - point

The formula of a slope:

m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

We have the points (9, 1) and (4, 16). Substitute:

m=\dfrac{16-1}{4-9}=\dfrac{15}{-5}=-3

y-1=-3(x-9)
