who were the four major players in the duel and what were their positions in society and roles in the duel itself?
Licemer1 [7]

The four major players are: Hamilton, Burr, Nathaniel Pendleton, William Van Ness.

Hamilton was the first secretary of treasure and he was against Burr during the duel. Burr was the Vice President to Jefferson and he was against Hamilton. Nathaniel Pendleton was a lawyer and Hamilton's second. William Van Ness was a lawyer and Burr's second.

Burr arrived first on the ground as had been previously agreed. When Genl Hamilton arrived the parties exchanged salutations and the Seconds proceeded to make their arrangments. There’s this musical that’s been getting some attention lately, Hamilton. Maybe you’ve heard of it. In the musical, Burr announces that there are 10 things you need to know about the duel, though actually he cites plenty more.
