<span>Find the two numbers that has the sum of 5.036
First number has a 4 in the tenths place and 7 in the thousands
=> x.4x7
The other number has 1 in the ones place and 2 in the hundredths place
=> 1.x2x
=> x.4x7 + 1.x2x = 5.036
=> x.4x7 + 1.x2x = notice that the thousandths place is 7, add 9 to make it 16.
=> x.4x7 + 1.x26 = carry 1, then in hundredths place 2 + 1 + x, find the number to make it 3, since it’s already 3 x = 0
=> x.407 + 1.x29, in tenths place, notice that we already have 4, add 6 to make it 10, then carry 1 to ones place
=> x.407 + 1.629, Now, in ones place, we have 1 + 1 + x, find a number to make it 5. Add 3
=> 3.407 + 1.629 = 5.036</span>

Choose the model that represents the function
kirill [66]

Answer:

OPTION D

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to determine which option determines the function given above.

To determine the function, just substitute the values and compare LHS and RHS.

we have $ f(4) = 18 $

$ f(-2) = -12 $

$ f(0) = -2 $

$ f(-3) = -17 $

Here, $ x $ is the domain and $ f(x) $ is the co-doamin.

Therefore, $ x = \{4, -2, 0, -3\} $

Now, OPTION A: $ f(x) =  2x - 5 $

Substitute x = 4. We get f(x) = 3 $ \ne $ 18.

So, OPTION A is rejected.

Similarly, OPTION B: $ f(x) = 5x + 2 $

Substitute x = 4. We get f(4) = 22 $ \ne $18.

It is rejected as well.

Now, for OPTION C: $ f(x) = \frac{x}{2} - 5 $

Substitute x = 4. We get f(4) = -3 $ \ne $ 18.

So, OPTION C is also rejected.

OPTION D: $ f(x) =  5x - 2 $

Substitute x = 4. We get f(4) = 18.

Substitute the remaining points in domain as well. We notice that it exactly matches the given function. So, OPTION D is the answer.

Drupady [299]
<span>The first part is already in squared terms. "19.25 sq ft" Taking the measurements for the mirror 3ft and 5ft, you'd get: "15 sq ft." Subtract that answer from the previous number to get "4.25 sq ft.

Hope this helps out a little lol :)</span>
