Answer:

24

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2(x1+x2)c x1=3 , x2=5 , c=6

:- 1/2(3+5)6 ( BODMAS)

:- 1/2(8)6 divide 8 by 1/2

:- (4)6 multiply both of them and the result = 24

Find the area of this shape
chubhunter [2.5K]
Personally the easiest way for me is to first find the area of the rectangle and take away the missing triangles. So assuming it’s a rectangle we get (4+5)(3+2) = 45. Ok now we find the area of the triangles. 0.5(4)(3) = 6. Now we subtract that twice from our 45.
45-6-6 = 33. The answer is 33

4x + 160y = 120
and
1x + 240y = 80

that will be be the equations. if we multiply the bottom equation by 4 we get:
4x + 960y = 320

now subtract one equation from another:
4x + 160y = 120
-(4x + 960y = 320)

and get:
-800y = -200
y = $0.25

now plug this into one equation
x +240(.25) = 80
x + 60 = 80
x = $20

so $20 per day and $0.25 per mile

Annual starting salaries for college graduates is unknown. Assume that a 95% confidence interval estimate of the population mean
kumpel [21]

Answer:

A sample of 217 is needed.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that to find our \alpha level, that is the subtraction of 1 by the confidence interval divided by 2. So:

\alpha = \frac{1-0.95}{2} = 0.025

Now, we have to find z in the Ztable as such z has a pvalue of 1-\alpha.

So it is z with a pvalue of 1-0.025 = 0.975, so z = 1.96

Now, find the margin of error M as such

M = z*\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

In which \sigma is the standard deviation of the population and n is the size of the sample.

If the population standard deviation is $3,750 how large should the sample be if margin of error is $500

We have that \sigma = 3750.

We need a sample of n, and n is found when M = 500. So

M = z*\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

500 = 1.96*\frac{3750}{\sqrt{n}}

500\sqrt{n} = 1.96*3750

\sqrt{n} = \frac{1.96*3750}{500}

(\sqrt{n})^{2} = (\frac{1.96*3750}{500})^{2}

n = 216.1

Rounding up

A sample of 217 is needed.
