How many even 3 digit integers greater than 700 with distinct non zero digits are there?
vredina [299]
For numbers 710-720 there are 4 integers (712,714,716 and 718)
       numbers 720-730 there are 3 (724,726,728)

for 730-740 , 750-760, there are 4 in each case.
     740-750 , 760-770, 780-790   there are  3 in each case
and for 790-800 there are 4. None for 770-780.

so for numbers 700 - 800 we have a total of 28 integers which fit the requirements.

The number for integers 800 to 900 and 900 to 999 will also be 28 in each case.

Answer is  3*28 = 84 answer.

A couch is 94 inches long. what is the length in feet and inches
enyata [817]
There are 12 inches in a foot.

Divide 94 by 12.

94 / 12 = 7.8333

So there are 7 feet and a few inches.

Now we multiply 12 to 7.

12 * 7 = 84

Subtract this from 94.

94 - 84 = 10

So there are 7 feet and 10 inches in 94 inches.

A slow pitch softball diamond is actually a square 60 ft on a side. how far is it from home to second base?
krek1111 [17]
For this case we have a square whose sides are known and equal to 60 ft.
We want to find the diagonal of the square.
For this, we use the Pythagorean theorem.
We have then:
d^2 = 60^2 + 60^2

d =  \sqrt{60^2 + 60^2}

d =  \sqrt{3600 + 3600}

d = \sqrt{2*3600}

d = 60\sqrt{2}

Answer:

from home to second base it is about:
d = 60\sqrt{2} feet
