1) It’s true because -5 is way smaller than 3. All the negatives are below the 0 and everything below the 0 is lower than everything above the 0.

2) false. it’s false because in order -5 isn’t even close to 3

3) false.. It’s false because when you have those 2 line that are covering the -5 that means it’s “transforming” into a positive number. So therefore it’s would be 5>3 that would make it true.

4) True. it’s true because like I said the to lines mean the absolute value of something. So it’s being switch to a positive number

Hope this helps :)

F(x) = -3x+17 and g(x) = x^2 -6 find g(5)-f(5)
aniked [119]

Answer:

For the given functions, the value of g(5)-f(5) = 17

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the given functions are:

f(x) = -3x + 17

g(x) = x ^2 - 6

So, f(5) = -3(5) + 17

= -15 + 17 = 2

And g(5) = (5)^2 - 6 = 25 - 6 = 19

So, f(5) = 2 and g(5) = 19

⇒g(5) - f(5) = 19 - 2 = 17

Hence, for the given functions, the value of g(5)-f(5) = 17

2/3 - 3/2y + 1/3y + 4 = 0
Korvikt [17]

Answer:

y = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

(2/3 + 4) + (-3/2y + 1/3y) = 0

(-3/2y + 1/3y) = -4 2/3

-9/6y + 2/6y = -14/3

-7/6y = -14/3

cross-multiply:

-21y = -84

y = 4

In the sequence generated by the formula an=(-1)^n+1(5)^n, which of the following terms has the greatest value? Assume an > 0
marishachu [46]

Answer:

c a(n+10)

Step-by-step explanation:

[(-1)^(n+1)] × (5^n)

an > 0

a(n+5) = (-1)⁵ × 5^(n+5) < 0

a(n+10) = (-1)¹⁰ × 5^(n+10) > 0

a(n+15) = (-1)¹⁵ × 5^(n+15) < 0

Since a^n is positive, n is even
