1) It’s true because -5 is way smaller than 3. All the negatives are below the 0 and everything below the 0 is lower than everything above the 0.

2) false. it’s false because in order -5 isn’t even close to 3

3) false.. It’s false because when you have those 2 line that are covering the -5 that means it’s “transforming” into a positive number. So therefore it’s would be 5>3 that would make it true.

4) True. it’s true because like I said the to lines mean the absolute value of something. So it’s being switch to a positive number

Hope this helps :)

For what value of x is the equation 2x-3
Alex Ar [27]

Answer: x=2

Step-by-step explanation:Algebraically solve this equation. First subtract x from 2x which gets you just x. then subract 3 from 4 which gets you 1. Then subract 1 from 3 which gets you to the equation x=2. You can plug it in and check

2(2)-3-2+4=3 which is 4-3-2+4=3 which is -1+4=3 which is 3=3 which is correct.

Hope this helps :)

What is the angle of AHM?
zlopas [31]
154 degrees; when you add up the two angles you get 154 subtract that from 180 which is the sum of a triangle. You should get 26 for the third angle of the triangle. when you extend the segment if MH you form an X the acute angle of the X are 26 to find H you subtract 26 from 180 since a straight line is 180 and you get 154 for the abtuse angles which is also H

Solving systems of equations using substitution. y=2x+8. y=5-x
kherson [118]

Answer:

(x, y) = (-1, 6)

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 2x + 8

y = 5 - x

Substituting the second equation into the first equation, we get:

5 - x = 2x + 8

5 = 3x + 8

-3 = 3x

x = -1.

So, y = 5 - (-1).

Simplifying, we get:

y = 6.

What is the area of the sector of the circle below, if the radius is 5 m. and the central angle < AOB measures 88 °. (round a
MariettaO [177]

Answer:

b 19.2

Step-by-step explanation:

a = \pir^{2} for a circle.  We do not want to find the area for a whole circle.  We only want to find the area for part of a circle.  a hole circle is 360 degrees.

a = \frac{88}{360}\pir^{2}

a = \frac{88}{360}\pi(5^{2})

a = 19.2 rounded.
