x+2=5x+26

Move all the x's to one side of the equation. This is a step necessary to solve this equation.

Subtract both sides by x.

x+2-x=5x+26-x
2=4x+26

Flip equation. We always want to have the variable written on the left side.

4x+26=2

Subtract both sides by 26.

4x+26-26=2-26
4x=-24

Divide both sides by 4 to finish this off.

x=-6

That's your answer. Have an awesome day! :)

Look at the graph shown below the blue line represents an _______ of the graph
erastovalidia [21]

Given:

The graph of a function and a blue line.

To find:

The correct name for the blue line.

Solution:

Domain: It is the set of inputs. These are the x-values for which the function is defined.

Range: It is the set of outputs. These are the y-values for the function.

Asymptote: The function approaches to a line as x approaches to -∞ or ∞ but not intersect the line, then the line is known as asymptote.

y-intercept: It is the intersection point of the function and the y-axis.

From the given graph it is clear that the function approaches to the blue line as x approaches to -∞ but not intersect the blue line.

So, the blue line is an asymptote of the function.

Look at the graph shown below the blue line represents an asymptote of the graph.

a coin is tossed. find the probability of the coin landing on heads. write your answer as a fraction, percent, and decimal
inysia [295]
Since there are only two sides (heads & tails) to a coin:
Probability (as fraction) - 1/2
Probability (as percent) - 1/2 x 100 = 50%
Probability (as decimal) - 1 x 50/2 x 50 = 50/100 = 0.5

Use the substitution method to solve the system of equation.choose the correct ordered pair. 2
Jlenok [28]
I’m not sure if the 2 is counted in the equation or not

Since x=4, substitute it for x in the other equation

4+3y=29
3y=25
Y=8.333333333

2(4)+3y=29
8+3y=29
3y=37
y=12.33333333
