Answer:

a. True

Explanation:

An endocrine system refers to a series of ductless glands and organs responsible for the production and secretion of hormones that are used by the body for the performance of various functions such as metabolism, controlling growth, reproduction, mood, sleep, etc. These hormones are secreted directly into the circulatory system (blood) and then transported to the organs and tissues in the body.

Basically, the endocrine system contributes significantly to the state of homeostasis in the body.

Homeostasis can be defined as a process through which a living organism maintains a steady or stable physical, internal and chemical environment that is ideal to enhance life and proper functionality.

Homeostasis is maintained through feedback mechanisms, which are either positive or negative feedback.

During a negative feedback, a sensor and a control center in the body of a living organism maintains blood glucose to regulate blood pressure by releasing glucagon to increase blood sugar or releasing insulin to decrease blood sugar.

For a positive feedback, a sensor and a control center aids child birth by causing the uterine to contract.

The best term to describe the species-species interaction between pseudomyrmex ants and the bullhorn acacia plant would be?
Marta_Voda [28]

Pseudomyrmex ants and bullhorn acacia plant work together and do not harm each other, this type of relationship is known as a mutualistic relationship.

What is a Mutualistic Relationship?

 • Interaction of species results in some results like damage of one species, benefit for one species and harm for another or benefit for both the species.
 • When the interaction of both species is beneficial for both, then this type of species interaction is known as a mutualistic relationship.
 • In United State, Pseudomyrmex ants and the bullhorn acacia plants are examples of mutualistic relationships, both species' presence for each other is beneficial for both.

Carbon cycles through plants and animals. Which processes are part of the
Step2247 [10]

A. Photosynthesis and cellular respiration

B. Cellular respiration and decay

C. Decay and fossil fuel formation

Explanation:

Photosynthesis, cellular respiration, decay and fossil fuel formation are all processes that are part of the carbon cycle.

In the carbon cycle, carbon in different forms moves in the environment.

 • During photosynthesis, green plants use carbon dioxide gas to manufacture their own food.
 • Cellular respiration release carbon dioxide as waste product into the atmosphere.
 • When plants and animals dies and decay, carbon dioxide is release from their tissues by the activities of decomposers.
 • Fossil fuel formation removes carbon by accumulation of the organic matter of plants and animals.
