Equal pay for men and women has always been an issue, and it remains even today. Susan B. Anthony, a famous feminist and supporter of women's rights, fought to give women equal pay as men receive, and even though she didn't completely go through with her plan, she set the foundations for it to happen in the future.
Similarly, she wanted women to have property rights, which is something they didn't use to have in the past. Men were the ones who were allowed to own a property, and women did not have such rights - they used to depend on their male family members/husbands. She obviously wanted to change that and she was instrumental in this fight. </span>
