Florist has to choose 3 types of flowers from 7 types of flowers so the combination is C(7,3)
and chooses 3 types of greenery from 6 types of greenery so the combination is C(6,3)
Formula for combination is:
C(n,r) = n! / r!(n-r)
C(7,3) = 7! / 3! (7-3)!
=7 x 6 x5 x4 x3 x 2/ 3 x2 (4x3x2)
=5040 / 144
= 35
Now for greenery, C(6,3) = 6! / 3! (6-3)!
= 6x5x4x3x2 / 3x2(3x2)
=720/36 = 20
So, there are 35 combinations for flowers and 20 combinations for greenery,
total combination = 35 x 20 =700

\frac{12}{126} in simplest form:

First, we can start off by finding the greatest common factor (GCF) of the numerator and the denominator. To do this, we list the factors of each two numbers till we find the common factor that is the greatest.

Factors of 12: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
Factors of 126: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 14, 18, 21, 42, 63, 126

Looking at the listed factors of the two numbers, which numbers are the common ones? The common factors are 1, 2, 3, and 6. We are looking for the GREATEST common factor, so out of those four numbers, which is the greatest? It is 6, so the GCF is 6.

Second, we can now divide the numerator and the denominator by the GCF (6).

12 \div 6 = 2  \\  126 \div 6 = 21

Third, now we can revise our fraction in the simplified form, which we got from dividing above.

Fraction form: \fbox {2/21}
Decimal form: \fbox {0.0952}

Answer:

The answer is 65.97 yd^3

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a cone is: v = \pi r^{2}\frac{h}{3}

So, v = \pi(3^2)(7/3) = 65.97345 yd^3
