Answer:

0.1 moles of magnesium

Explanation:

Mg(s) + 2CH3COOH(aq) -------> Mg(CH3COO)2(aq) + H2(g)

Since the reaction is 1:2 in mole ratio,

1 mole of magnesium reacts with 2 moles of ethanoic acid

x moles of magnesium will react with 0.2 moles of ethanoic acid

2x = 0.2

x = 0.2/2 = 0.1 moles of magnesium used

Nitrogen (n) atomic number = _____ atomic mass = _____ number of protons = _____ number of neutrons = _____ number of electrons
inessss [21]
Nitrogen, Periodic abbreviation= N
Atomic Number: 7, as it has 7 protons
Atomic Mass: 14.007, so around 7 protons and 7 neutrons depending on isotope type
# Protons: 7
# Neutrons: 7
# Electrons: 7, usually, but not always, equal to # of Protons
Valence Electrons: 5, as with 7 electrons total, 2 would fill the first valence shell, leaving 5 in the valence, or outermost, shell.

1. How many joules must be added to 10.0 g of water to raise its temperature from 10°C to<br> 15°C?
weqwewe [10]

Answer:

209.3 Joules require to raise the temperature from 10 °C to 15 °C.

Explanation:

Specific heat capacity:

It is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one gram of substance by one degree.

Formula:

Q = m × c × ΔT

Given data:

mass of water = 10 g

initial temperature T1= 10 °C

final temperature T2=  15 °C

temperature change =ΔT= T2-T1 = 15°C - 10°C = 5 °C

Energy or joules added to increase the temperature Q = ?

Solution:

We know that specific heat of water is 4.186 J/g .°C

Q = m × c × ΔT

Q = 10 g × 4.186 J/g .°C × 5 °C

Q = 209.3 J
