Mrs. Waid drives her car up Route 8 at 80mph. If her car weighs 2500 lbs,
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

It have 1.359 joule kinetic energy.

Explanation:

  • Kinetic energy is defined as the energy of any object due to its state of motion.
  • Mathematically kinetic energy can be calculated as:

                                    K.E = \frac{1}{2}mv^{2} ...........................equation 1

        where,

           m= mass of object

           v= velocity of that moving object

  • In the above problem;

                     mass= 2500 lbs = 5511.56 kg.

                     velocity= 80mph= \frac{80}{60*60} m/s = 0.0222 m/s.

  • Substituting the values in equation 1, we get;

                                    K.E= \frac{1}{2} * 5511.56 * 0.0222^{2}

                                   K.E= 1.359 joule.

Earth is the only source of gravity in the solar system. Do you agree?
PolarNik [594]
I strongly disagree. There are many other planets in our solar system that have gravity on them. The statement is false. I hope this helps.
