Summary judgment. Summary judgment occurs when there is no real dispute as to what happened, it could also occur when the plaintiff cannot provide enough evidence to support the claims. Before a case gets to trial the plaintiff has to disclose documents to the opponent by discovery. i.e show the evidence to the other party.
