- Bruises and injuries

- Protective of themselves, dislike being touched and even being close.
- Raising their arms up or being in a protective manner when someone raises their arm or comes close
- Show negative coping methods such as abuse towards others or substance abuse
- Dreads or hates to go to certain places that abuse may take place (school, home, workplace, etc.)
