(HELP ASAP PLEASE!!)
Doss [256]

Answer:

Each shirt cost $<u>7</u>  and each pair of shorts cost $<u>17</u> .

Step-by-step explanation:

let shirts be represented as x

let shorts be represented as y

Younger brother spent $79 on 4 new shirts and 3 pairs of shorts.

4 x + 3 y = $79    .......equation 1

Older brother purchased 7 new shirts and 8 pairs of shorts and paid a total of $185.

7 x + 8 y = $185  .......equation 2

multiply equation 1 by 7 and equation 2 by -4 and add both equations to get the value of y.

7 × (4 x + 3 y = $79)     ⇒             +28 x + 21 y = $553

-4 × (7 x + 8 y = $185)  ⇒             <u> -28 x - 32 y = - $740</u>

                                                          0   - 11 y   = - $187     ⇒  -11 y   = - $187

y = \frac{- $187}{- 11}   ⇒   y = $17

shorts = y = $17

put value of y in equation 1

4 x + 3 ( $17 ) = $79  ⇒    4x + $51 = $79   ⇒   4x = $79 - $51

4x = $28   ⇒  x = \frac{$28}{4}   ⇒   x = $7

Shirts = x = $7

4 questions! Write an equation in slope-intercept form for each of the following:
AysviL [449]
1) y= -4x+c

2) y= 3x+c replace x and y to find c , 5=3(2)+c
C= -1
Y=3x-1

3) find slope first m=y2-y1/x2-x1 = 0-(-1)/-2-1 = 1/-3 and now you have y= -1/3x+c to find c just replace any of the given points , 0= -1/3(-2)+c
C= -2/3 and so y= -1/3x-2/3

4) DO THE SAME STEP AS NUMBER 3 and enjoy!

Helooooo?!!!!! 30 whole points
pentagon [3]

Answer:

I believe C, or the answer you have chosen, is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, we add like, AKA similar, terms.

There is nothing to match x^2, so we leave it alone and put it at the head of equation since it has the highest power:

x^2

There is nothing to match -x, so we also leave it alone and put it next to x^2, keeping its sign:

x^2 - x

We can add 1 and 5 to get 6, so we put 6 next to the -x to get our final equation:

x^2 - x + 6.

See how easy that was? :) Hope this helps you and you get a good grade on your test!!

Please rate my answer and give me Brainliest!!!!

Have an awesome rest of your day! :)
