No. The scientists found that only 3 percent of the offspring are formed by pathogenesis. So, it’s unclear how often a sawfish undergoes parthenogenesis. Also, parthenogenesis creates only female offspring. If this were the only form of reproduction, the males of the species would eventually die off.
