A graduated cylinder contains 10mL of water. A rock is dropped into the cylinder and the water level rises to 17mL. What is the
Travka [436]

Answer:

7 milliliters or 7 cubic centimeters

Explanation:

1 cubic centimeter = 1 milliliter

You can measure the volume of a rock using cubic centimeters because rocks do not have a defined shaped so you have to use water displacement to find the volume of a rock. If you had a defined shape there are different methods but for an undefined shape( rocks) you use this method.

To solve all you have to do is know how much there was in the container without the rock then how much there was with the rock. Then you take the total and subtract the original measurement you had.

17-10=7 mL or 7 cubic centimeters

The ability of vibrio cholerae to cause disease depends on a number of factors. What are general requirements for any organism t
Svetllana [295]

Disease

Explanation:

 • Pathogenicity is the ability to produce disease in a host organism
 • Microbes express their pathogenicity by means of their virulence, a term which refers to the degree of pathogenicity of the microbe
 • The relationship between a host and a pathogen is dynamic, since each modifies the activities and functions of the other
 • The outcome of such a relationship depends on the virulence of the pathogen and the relative degree of resistance or susceptibility of the host, due mainly to the effectiveness of the host defense mechanisms
 • Hence, general requirements for any organism to cause disease within a host are: evasion of host defenses , gaining access to the host via a portal of entry, adherence to host tissues
