To solve, we will need to plug in -5 for x in both instances.

|-5 + 2| / -5 + 2

|-3| / -3

Now, these absolute value bars may be a bit puzzling. What we have to do is take the absolute value of the number inside of the brackets. Meaning, that if the number is negative, we make it positive, and if the number is positive, then it stays positive.

3 / -3

-1

Hope this helps!! :)

Answer:

-1

Step-by-step explanation:

Plug in the value for x (-5) into the equation: \frac{|(-5)+2|}{(-5)+2}

Simplify:\frac{|-3|}{-3}

Take absaloute value to simplify further:

(All absaloute value means (which is what these bars represent: | |) is how far away a number is from zero, so the number will always be its positive counterpart if it is not already positive):

\frac{3}{-3}

Now simplify (divide 3 by -3) to get your answer:

-1

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: 10 minutes are taken out of the hour so you are left with 50. 50 minutes into seconds is 3,000. Next you add the average amount of seconds for each task totaling to 234.6. The last step is to divide   the amount of time she has with the amount of time it takes to do the the task. 3,000/234.6 is 12.7877 or 12.79

Before flipping a fair coin, Sunil assesses that he has a 50% chance of obtaining tails. Subjective probability Empirical probab
ASHA 777 [7]

Answer:

a) Classical

b) Subjective

c) Empirical

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Classical probability: In classical probability, all the events have the same probability. When flipping a coin, the probability of getting tails is the same as the probability of getting tails, therefore, the probability of both events is 50%.

b) Subjective probability: Subjective probability is derived from a personal judgement based on previous experiences. In this case, John would be calculating his probability of receiving A's based on his previous semesters.

c) Empirical probability: is the ratio between the number of outcomes a scenario happens and the total of trials in an ACTUAL EXPERIMENT. In this case, the reporter would be calculating this probability based on his previous experiences attending actual conferences.
