Answer:

Direct current or DC electricity is the continuous movement of electrons from negative to positive through a conducting material such as a metal wire. A DC circuit is necessary to allow the current or steam of electrons to flow. In a circuit, the direction of the current is opposite the flow of electrons

A jet impinges directly on to a plate that is oriented normal to the axis of the jet. The mass flow rate of the jet is 50 kg/min
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Answer:

166.67 N

Explanation:

Given:

Mass flow rate = 50 kg/min = 50 kg / 60 seconds = 0.833 kg/s

Initial velocity = 200 m/s

after striking the normal board the water will flow in the normal direction, thus the final velocity in the direction of the initial flow will be zero

therefore,

Force = (change in momentum)

or

Force = Initial momentum - final momentum

or

Force = 0.833 × 200 - 0.833 × 0

or

Force = 166.67 N

I am trying to create a line of code to calculate distance between two points. (distance=[tex]\sqrt{ (x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2}) My li
k0ka [10]

Answer:

point_dist = math.sqrt((math.pow(x2 - x1, 2) + math.pow(y2 - y1, 2))

Explanation:

The distance formula is the difference of the x coordinates squared, plus the difference of the y coordinates squared, all square rooted.  For the general case, it appears you simply need to change how you have written the code.

point_dist = math.sqrt((math.pow(x2 - x1, 2) + math.pow(y2 - y1, 2))

Note, by moving the 2 inside of the pow function, you have provided the second argument that it is requesting.

You were close with your initial attempt, you just had a parenthesis after x1 and y1 when you should not have.

Cheers.
