Well it is really easy to answer this question. Firstly we can calculate the complete circles area which comes out to be pi*r^2 so it becomes 16 pi.

And now we can calculate the complete triangles area which comes out to be 1/2 * base * height so 1/2 * 8 * 4 = 16 cm^2.

Now we can subtract both of them and get our final shaded areas region. So 16 pi or 50.24 minus 16 = 34.2

Answer:

128 ft sq.

Step-by-step explanation:

The way you find the area of a square is by multiplying one side by another, and since it is a square, the sides are the same. This means that if we have a square with a side length of x, the way to find the area of that square is to multiply x by x, which can be written as x^2. Now, since we're doubling this, we can say that double Mary's garden is 2 * x^2. If we substitute 8 in for x, we have to multiply 8^2 by 2 or 8 by 8 by 2 to find our answer. 8 times 8 is 64 and 64 times 2 is 128.

Is QRS a right triangle? Why or why not?
Yuliya22 [10]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

Using Pythagoras' identity to determine if the triangle is right

The square of the longest side should equal the sum of the squares on the other 2 sides, that is

QS² = RS² + QR² = 8² + 5² = 64 + 25 = 89 ( take the square root of both sides )

QS = \sqrt{89}

Δ QRS is not right as QS would have to be \sqrt{89}
