First off, you didn’t really ask a question you just told us what the thickness of the wood pieces are. But if you are trying to get a equal denominator you first write out the two fractions side by side and find a common denominator.

3/4 and 2/3

The lowest common denominator between 4 and 3 is 12 so in the first equation you multiply both the top and bottom by 3.

3/4 —> 3 times 3 is 9 and 4 times 3 is 12.
To make it 9/12

The second equation you do the same to make both the denominators equal but this time you multiply them by 4.

2/3 —> 2 times 4 is 8 and 3 times 4 is 12.
Making it 8/12

So side by side the two piece of wood started out as

3/4 and 2/3
But the first piece is bigger as it turned into
9/12 and 8/12

3/4+2/3=?

First you have to find like denominators and do the same to the numerator so 12 is the like denominator so 3/4 times 3 on each side is 9/12.Then do the same for the other number so 2/3 times 4 on each side which is 8/12 .Now you can add since you have like denominator so 9/12+8/12=17/12.To get this you add only the numerators.Then since it’s an improper fraction you make it a mixed number so your final answer is 17/12 or 1 and 5/12.

3/4+2/3=1 5/12 or 17/12

A number cube is rolled many times with the results shown in the table below. What is the experimental probability of rolling an
irga5000 [103]
To find the experimental probability, you will add the outcomes that resulted in even number and make that a ratio to the total number of outcomes.

(12 + 14 + 18)
(13 + 12 + 12 +14 + 11 + 18)

44/80 = 0.55

Solve the system using the substitution method
4x+6y=8
3x+y=9
inessss [21]
4x+6y=8
3x+y=9

y = 9 - 3x

4x + 6(9-3x) = 8
4x + 54 - 18x = 8
14x = 46
x = 23/7

y = 9 - 3(23/7)
y = 9 - 69/7
y = - 6/7

Four microprocessors are randomly selected from a lot of 100
ira [324]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

From the set of 100 with 10 defective microprocessors, the probability of picking a defective one is;

10/100 = 1/10

From the set of 99 remaining and 9 defective microprocessors, the probability of picking a defective one is;

9/99 = 1/11

From the set of 98 remaining and 8 defective microprocessors, the probability of picking a defective one is;

8/98 = 4/49

From the set of 97 remaining and 7 defective microprocessors, the probability of picking a defective one is;

7/97

Adding all 4 probabilities together, we get;

1/10 + 1/11 + 4/49 + 7/97 = 0.345 or 34.5%
