The average kinetic energy of the particles of a substance is directly proportional to the temperature.

The relation can be given as

KE = 1.5 k T

where k = Boltzmann constant , T = temperature in kelvin

as the temperature of the substance increase, the particles of the substance gains heat and this gain in heat increases the speed of particles.

we know that kinetic energy is directly proportional to the speed and is given as

KE = (0.5) m v²

so as the speed of the particles increase with increase in temperature, the kinetic energy of the particles also increase.

A cat dozes on a stationary merry-go-round, at a radius of 4.6 m from the center of the ride. then the operator turns on the rid
ioda
Radius = 4.6 m
Time for one complete rotation t = 5.5 s.
Distance = 2 x 3.14 x R = 2 x 3.14 x 4.6 m = 28.888.
Velocity V = distance / time = 28.888 / 5.5 s = 5.25 m/s
Force exerted by cat Fc = mV^2 / R = (mx 5.25^2) / 4.6 m
 Force of the cat Fc = 6m, m being the mass.
Normal force = Us x m x g = Us x m x 9.81 = Us9.81m
equating the both forces => Us9.81m = 6m => Us = 6 / 9.81 => Us = 0.6116 So coefficient of static friction = 0.6116

When a circular motion spinning at 32 degrees, what's the most likely cause for the spinning object to slow down
BigorU [14]

Answer:

Loss of momentum

Explanation:

What is the currency for performing work and what is its unit?
ExtremeBDS [4]
The currency for performing work is called : Energy

And Energy's unit of measurement is : Joule

The amount of energy you've inputed will always equal the output.

For example, in order to do a 500 joules of work, you need 500 joules of energy

If the temperature of water in which the sound wave travels
scoray [572]

The sound wave travels faster at higher temperatures and slower at lower temperatures.

What will happen to the velocity of the wave if the temperature decreases?

At a lower temperature, particles of the medium are moving more slowly as compared to higher temperature. Due to lower temperature, longer time is required to transfer the energy of the sound waves.

So we can conclude that sound travels faster at higher temperatures and slower at lower temperatures.
