Answer:

First question the answer is the third one, 4*4*4*4*4

Second: Part A

I think one side is 25 yards, so answer is 25². that makes the area of the chicken pen  to be 625 sqaure yards.

Part B a yard is exactly three feet, so the power becomes 75², and the area is 5625 square feet.

third question: not sure what the only use once is, but 2^4 and 4² could be the first one, they both equal 16. The second could be 3^4 and 9^2, which are both 81.

il63 [147K]
3a + 3b, for a=2 and b=4 ... The first thing you'd do would be to plug the numbers in -

3 x 2 + 3 x 4

Then multiply them -

6 + 12

Then add -

18.

So your answer should be 18.

find the equation of a line that is parallel to the straight line 2x-y=-3 and crosses the x-axis at x=-5
Alecsey [184]

Answer:

y=2x+10

Step-by-step explanation:

In line equations its helpful to write your line in the form y = ax + b. This helps because a is always the gadient of the line and b is always the y intercept.

In this case it is y=2x+3

All parallel lines have the same gradient. The gradient of this line = 2.

If the line crosses the x axis at x=-5, then when x =-5 y = 0.

If you put all this in the form y =ax + b you get 0 = 2(-5) +b

So all you need to do to find b is rearrange. b = 10.

Therefore your line has gradient 2 and y intercept 10.

y = 2x + 10
