<span>The elements for which the neutral atom has a valence electron configuration of .

ns^2np^6

are those whose valence electron shell has 2 + 6 = 8 electrons.

Those are the noble gases, except helium (He).

Here is the list of the noble gases and the configuration of their valence electron configuration:

He:     1s^2

Ne      2s^22p^6

Ar       3s^23p^6

Kr       4s^24p^6

Xe       5s^25p^6

Rn      6s^26p^6

Answer: Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe and Rn

What is the molarity of a naoh solution if 28.2 ml of a 0.355 m h2so4 solution is required to neutralize a 25.0-ml sample of the
Mrac [35]

Answer;

Molarity of NaOH is 0.80 M

Explanation;

The balanced equation for the reaction is;

2NaOH(aq) + H2SO4(aq = NaSO4(aq) +2 H2O (l)

Moles = concentration x volume

thus; 0.355M x 0.0282L= 0.01 moles of H2SO4.

Using the mole ratio;

Moles of NaOH = Moles of H2SO4 ×2

                         = 0.02 Moles

Therefore; moles of NaOH = 0.02 moles

But; Concentration = moles / volume

Thus; Concentration of NaOH = 0.02 / 0.025L

                                       = 0.8M

What is considered to be included in the study of Chemistry?
Shkiper50 [21]
I don't know exactly what you are learning, but i know that chemistry involves the practice of mixing chemicals together to see what kind of reaction they make, if they make a reaction at all.

Define electrovalent bonding.
Jlenok [28]

Answer:

Ionic bond, also called electrovalent bond, type of linkage formed from the electrostatic attraction between oppositely charged ions in a chemical compound. Such a bond forms when the valence (outermost) electrons of one atom are transferred permanently to another atom
