Tcs food must be cooled to what temperature in the first two hours
ValentinkaMS [17]
TCS food must be cooled from 135 to 70 DEGREE FAHRENHEIT in the first two hours.
TCS foods are those foods which require time-temperature control in order to prevent the growth of microbes and production of toxins in the foods. These foods are more likely to become unsafe than other foods because they allow rapid growth of micro organism.

Is the binding of a transcription factor to its dna recognition sequence necessary and sufficient for an initiation of transcrip
hram777 [196]

Transcription factors are necessary for an initiation of transcription at a regulated gene but not sufficient.

Transcription is the first step of gene expression in which DNA molecule is copied (transcribed) into RNA (mRNA) by RNA polymerase. The process of transcription is divided into three phases:

1. Initiation

• RNA polymerase with transcriptional factors bind to gene promoter Transcription factors can enhance the interaction between RNA polymerase and a DNA sequence- promoter, encouraging the expression of the gene. Such transcription factors are called activators. Otherwise, when the gene expression is inhibited, factors are called repressors and they bind to sequence –operator.

• RNA polymerase unwinds DNA double helix (transcription bubble is formed)

2. Elongation

• RNA polymerases adds nucleotides complementary to DNA

3. Termination

• RNA polymerase gets to stop codon (transcribes a sequence of DNA known as a terminator)

• Formed complementary RNA strand is released from DNA-RNA complex

Arrange the tiles to show the sequence of the steps in a scientific investigation. make an observation ask questions construct a
puteri [66]

Answer:

The tiles can be arranged as follows:

  • make an observation
  • ask questions
  • construct a hypothesis
  • test the hypothesis
  •  analyze the results and make conclusions
  • communicate the result

Explanation

A scientific investigation begins with certain observations. By seeing these observations, a question is made. To answer the question, a hypothesis is generated. A hypothesis is a tentative statement that can either be stated s correct or wrong. To test the hypothesis, experiments are made and results are deduced from the experiments. Based on these results, a hypothesis can be proved as correct or wrong. These results are then communicated to check for their authenticity.

Which statements correctly describe theories? Check all that apply.
kkurt [141]
Theories are a collection of scientific data that is generally accepted and reproducible. Theories are a result from several repeated experiments, but theories are not based on a single hypothesis. Several hypotheses are tested and appraised to become a well accepted theory. Theories may also be revised over time and can predict what may happen in the future. On the other hand, theories are not proven facts.
