I believe I answered a question very similar to this earlier today. An easy way to find which is the greater is to convert them so that they have the same denominator. 40 would be an easy one.
40 divided by 10 would be 4, so multiply both the 9 and 10 in 9/10 so that you get: 36/40
40 divided by 8 would be 5, so multiply both the 6 and 8 in 6/8 so that you get: 30/40.
36/40 is greater than 30/40, so 9/10 is greater than 6/8.

How many solutions exist for the given equation?
Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

infinitely many

Step-by-step explanation:

12x + 1 = 3(4x + 1) - 2

Distribute

12x + 1 = 12x + 3 - 2

Combine like terms

12x+1 = 12x +1

Subtract 12x from each side

1 =1

Since this is always true, we have infinite solutions

In testing the difference between two population means using two independent samples, the sampling distribution of the sample me
Neko [114]

Answer:

C. populations are non normal and the sample sizes are large.

Step-by-step explanation:

To test hypotheses about the difference between two populations means we deal with the following three cases.

1) both the populations are normal with known standard deviations.

2)both the populations are normal with unknown standard deviations.

3) both the populations are non normal in which case both the  sample sizes are necessarily large.

So option C is the correct answer.
