Answer:

Gina exemplifies the attribution style most prone to depression since <em>she feels like she won't have success on written assignments, feels she is not good at sociology and that she is not smart enough. </em>

Explanation:

Depression is a mental disorder characterized by a <em>persistent feeling of sadness and despair</em>, as well as a general loss of interest. It can be fueled if the individual has a negative view of him/herself and constantly puts him/herself down.

In this case, Gina is the most prone to depression since the grade created a negative response on her, on her persona and on her general aspirations. She feels like she won't have success anymore, that she isn't good and that she is not smart enough.

Ipatiy [6.2K]

Answer:

a)

   Step-by-step explanation:

Previous concepts

A chi-square goodness of fit test "determines if a sample data matches a population".

A chi-square test for independence "compares two variables in a contingency table to see if they are related. In a more general sense, it tests to see whether distributions of categorical variables differ from each another".

Solution to the problem

Let's define some notation:

N= Total number of individuals for a population

n = Total of individuals selected from a sample

n1= number of objects/individuals with characteristic 1

n2= number of objects/individuals with characteristic 2

k1= number of levels for the variable or factor 1

k2= number of levels for the variable or factor 2

Part a

For a chi square goodness of fit test the degrees of freedom are given by:

Where k represent the total number of categories on the godness of fit test.

Part b

For a chi square test of independence the degrees of freedom are given by:

Where k1= number of levels for the variable or factor 1, k2= number of levels for the variable or factor 2 for the chi square test for independence.

uysha [10]

The scenario of Barney remembering his area code through his former area code is an example of elaborative rehearsal.

Elaborative rehearsal refers to an action involving the linking of information to knowledge already stored and repeating the information.

For instance, if one can remember that 200 is the area code for New york and the person you met is from New york, this can help one better remember the 200 area code.

Similar way is what Barney use to remember his area code through his former area code.

Therefore, this type of rehearsal is an example of elaborative rehearsal.
