so i was reading this autobiography and it about this kid who had very young parent (16 and 18) , and her father left her at the

age of the 3 and her mother never took care of her, so her other family members had too. and when she is alone she thinks about herself and her parent awfully, Why is this?

she probably thinks this because she has grown up feeling like she wasn't even worthy of their love and attention so why would she think good of herself or them now when she has only been taught and felt differently
