Ms. Brockman wants to take her class on a trip to either the nature center or the zoo. The nature center charges $4 per student,

plus $95 for a 1-hour naturalist program. The zoo charges $6 per student plus $75 for a 1-hour guided tour. Find the number of students where the two field trips would have the same cost.

Step-by-step explanation:

ten students.

4(10)+95=135

6(10)+75=135

4x+95=6x+75

-75+4x+95=6x+75-75

4x+20=6x

-4x+4x+20=6x-4x

20=2x

(20=2x)/2

x=10

kogti [31]

Answer:

  P(x) = -1.1x +49

Step-by-step explanation:

You are given the percentage in 2000 (for x=0) as 49, and told that its rate of change is -1.1 percent per year. So, with a slope of -1.1 and an intercept of 49, the slope-intercept form of the linear equation becomes ...

  P(x) = -1.1x +49

_____

The slope-intercept form for slope m and y-intercept b is ...

  y = mx + b

There are 2 cats to 5 dogs. Which of the following is an equivalent ratio of cats to dogs?
bixtya [17]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of cats to dogs would be 2/5. This is the simplest ratio, but I assume you are looking for other ratios that are equal to 2/5

Since you did not provide choices to pick from, I can't really answer your question. But, some ratios that are equal to 2/5 are 4/10, 6/15, 8/20, and 10/25.

How do you prove a parallelogram using these 2 triangles, somebody needs to explain this to me?
Bingel [31]

RQP=ONP

Since R is the midpoint of MQ, then MR and RQ are equal.

Since R is the midpoint of MQ, then P must be the midpoint of NQ

The triangles are congruent and the trapezoid is three or those triangles.

RQR reflected is a triangle inside the trapezoid. The triangles at the left and right of the trapezoid are congruent.

Since all the triangles are the exact same, then they have the same height and same length.

So you connect them without like sliding a triangle up a little bit.

The 4 congruent triangles add up to be a parallelogram.

I don't know if this is what you learned in class or where ever you did learn it but this is my way (not where-I-learned-it-from's way).
