Answer:

Javon purchase Energy cards = 52

Javon purchase Dragon cards = 75

Step-by-step explanation:

Given - Javon spent $687 on pokemon cards. Energy cards cost $6

             and dragon cards cost $5.

To find - If he bought a total of 127 packs then how many of each did he buy ?

Proof -

Let Javon purchase Energy cards = x

     Javon purchase Dragon cards = y

Now,

Given that he bought a total of 127 packs

⇒x + y = 127

Also,

Cost for 1 Energy card = $6

⇒Cost of x Energy cards = $ 6x

And

Cost of 1 Dragon card = $5

⇒Cost of y Dragon card = $ 5y

Now,

Given that Javon spent $687 on pokemon cards.

⇒6x + 5y = 687

∴ we get

x + y = 127                                 ..................(1)

6x + 5y = 687                            .................(2)

Multiply by 6 in equation (1) , we get

6(x + y) = 6(127)

⇒6x + 6y = 762                          .................(3)

Now,

Subtract equation (2) from equation (1) , we get

6x + 6y - (6x + 5y )= 762 - 687

⇒6x + 6y - 6x - 5y = 75

⇒y = 75

Now,

Put the value of y in equation (1), we get

x + 75 = 127

⇒x = 127 - 75

⇒x = 52

∴ we get

Javon purchase Energy cards = x = 52

Javon purchase Dragon cards = y = 75

Answer:

6 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula for surface area of a cylinder:

SA=2\pi r^{2} +2\pi rh

Plug in values and solve for the radius:

180\pi =2\pi r^{2} +2\pi r(9)\\

Divide both sides by 2\pi

90=r^{2} +r(9)

Subtract 90 from both sides

0=r^{2} +9r-90

Use the quadratic equation to find the roots

x=(-b±\sqrt{b^2-4ac})*\frac{1}{2a} (sorry for formatting, Brainly doesn't

                                           allow equations with ± in them)

x=\frac{-9+\sqrt{9^2-4*1*90} }{2(1)}        and          x=\frac{-9-\sqrt{9^2-4*1*90} }{2(1)}

x=\frac{(-9+\sqrt{81+360})}{2}          and          x=\frac{(-9-\sqrt{81+360})}{2}

x=\frac{(-9+\sqrt{441})}{2}               and          x=\frac{(-9-\sqrt{441})}{2}

x=\frac{(-9+21)}{2}                   and          x=\frac{(-9-21)}{2}

x=\frac{12}{2}                           and          x=\frac{-30}{2}

x=6                             and          x=-15

We can't have a negative radius, so that leaves us with r=6 in.

According to a survey, 65% of murders committed last year were cleared by arrest or exceptional means. Fifty murders committed

Answer:

a) P(X=41)=(50C41)(0.65)^{41} (1-0.65)^{50-41}=0.00421

b) P(X=36)=(50C36)(0.65)^{36} (1-0.65)^{50-36}=0.0714

P(X=37)=(50C37)(0.65)^{37} (1-0.65)^{50-37}=0.0502

P(X=38)=(50C38)(0.65)^{38} (1-0.65)^{50-38}=0.0319

And adding these values we got:

P(36 \leq X \leq 38)= 0.1535

c) We can find the expected value given by:

E(X) = np =50*0.65 = 32.5

And the standard deviation would be:

\sigma = \sqrt{np(1-p)} \sqrt{50*0.65*(1-0.65)}= 3.373

We can use the approximation to the normal distribution and we have at leat 95% of the data within 2 deviations from the mean. And the lower limit for this case would be:

\mu -2\sigma = 32.5- 2*3.373 = 25.75

And then we can consider a value of 18 as unusual lower for this case.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let X the random variable of interest "number cleared by arrest or exceptional", on this case we can model this variable with this distribution:

X \sim Binom(n=50, p=0.65)

The probability mass function for the Binomial distribution is given as:

P(X)=(nCx)(p)^x (1-p)^{n-x}

Where (nCx) means combinatory and it's given by this formula:

nCx=\frac{n!}{(n-x)! x!}

Part a

We want this probability:

P(X=41)=(50C41)(0.65)^{41} (1-0.65)^{50-41}=0.00421

Part b

We want this probability:

P(36 \leq X \leq 38)

We can find the individual probabilities:

P(X=36)=(50C36)(0.65)^{36} (1-0.65)^{50-36}=0.0714

P(X=37)=(50C37)(0.65)^{37} (1-0.65)^{50-37}=0.0502

P(X=38)=(50C38)(0.65)^{38} (1-0.65)^{50-38}=0.0319

And adding these values we got:

P(36 \leq X \leq 38)= 0.1535

Part c

We can find the expected value given by:

E(X) = np =50*0.65 = 32.5

And the standard deviation would be:

\sigma = \sqrt{np(1-p)} \sqrt{50*0.65*(1-0.65)}= 3.373

We can use the approximation to the normal distribution and we have at leat 95% of the data within 2 deviations from the mean. And the lower limit for this case would be:

\mu -2\sigma = 32.5- 2*3.373 = 25.75

And then we can consider a value of 18 as unusual lower for this case.

I am between 24 and 34.you say my name when you count by twos from zero . you say my name when you count by fives from zero. wha
Mariulka [41]
You would have to be 30 because multiples of 5 would only be 25 and 30 inbetween those numbers, and 25 is not an even number which it must be if you can say the number counting by 2s

A rectangular prism has a length of 1 2 in, a width of 2 in, and a height of 3 1 2 in. (a) How many cubes with side lengths of 1
erma4kov [3.2K]
V of rectangular prism = l * w * h = 12 * 2 * 312 = 7,488 in³
V of one cube with side lengths 12 = l * w * h = 12 * 12 * 12 = 1,728 in³

Divide the volume of rectangular prism by the volume of the cube.

7488 / 1728 = 13 / 3 or 4.3. . .
