Explanation:

The ecological niche can be define as the functional role that an organism play in an ecosystem. Every species plays a role in nature. This role is define by combination of traits like behavior, the choice of food, the choice of habitat, and the interaction with other species. A niche can be more than what an organism eats or where it lives.  

If two animals eat the same food it cannot be consider that they occupy the same niche other factors which an organism used to stay alive and contribute to nature must also be taken into consideration.
