Of those, 28 were Americans, but President Roosevelt was unfazed by the tragedy, declaring that no one was to “thoughtlessly or falsely talk of America sending its armies to European fields.” The United States would remain neutral.

The States of Andhra Pradesh and Punjab share many similarities and both the States lean a lot from each other by mutual interaction centred on knowing about each other’s culture, history and tradition.

Like several folk dances in Andhra Pradesh, there are a good number of folk dances in Punjab, each with their own colorful history and unique style. The Bhangra is a folk dance and music that originated from Punjab. Originally Bhangra was performed by the farmers of the region to welcome the harvest season. The dance has witnessed incredible evolution and has been popularized even in the West.
