Answer:

850g/min

Explanation:

The reaction expression is given as:

      P₄  +  5O₂   →   P₄O₁₀

Given that:

Number of moles of product  = 1.5moles

Time  = 30s = 0.5min

Unknown:

The rate of the reaction  = ?

Solution:

Convert the moles given to mass of the product.

     So;

     Mass of product  = number of moles x molar mass

Molar mass of P₄O₁₀   = 4(31) + 10(16)  = 284g/mol

    Mass of product  = 1.5moles x 284g/mol  = 426g

So;

 Reaction rate  = \frac{mass of product}{time}   = \frac{426}{0.5}   = 850g/min

An atomic radius is about 1.00*10^2 pm. Convert the radius to inches. (1 pm=10^-12m)
natka813 [3]

Answer:

3.937 x 10⁻⁸ inches

Explanation:

Data Given:

Atomic radium in pm (picometer) = 1.00 x 10² pm

Atomic radium in inches = ?

1 pm = 10⁻¹² m

Solution:

First convert picometer to meter

As we Know

  1 pm = 10⁻¹² m

then

  1.00 x 10² pm = X meter

Do cross multiplication

        X meter = (1.00 x 10² pm)(10⁻¹² m) / 1 pm

       X meter = 1 x 10⁻⁹ m

So, 1.00 x 10² pm equal to 1 x 10⁻⁹ m

Now convert meter to inches

As

         1 m = 39.37 inches

         1 x 10⁻⁹ m = X inches

Do cross multiplication

        X inches = (39.3701 inches)(1 x 10⁻⁹ m ) / 1 m

        X inches = 3.937 x 10⁻⁸ inches

So,

1.00 x 10² pm = 3.937 x 10⁻⁸ inches

so the radius is 3.937 x 10⁻⁸ inches

During which phase change does the entropy of a sample of H2O increase?
Bezzdna [24]

Answer: 3. H2O(l) -> H2O(g)

Explanation: Entropy is a measure of the randomness or disorder a substance. Gasses have the greatest amount of entropy and solids have the least amount of entropy. The entropy of a sample of H2O increases as liquid water evaporates and changes to a gas.
