Answer:

25 miles for 1 gallon

Step-by-step explanation:

Looking at the graph, for 1 gallon of gas, is about 25 miles. For 2 gallons, it is 50 miles. For 3 gallons, it is 75 miles. So based on the graph and the pattern, we can assume 1 gallon of gas will take the car 25 miles.

What is the solution to y-7>3+2y
Alex17521 [72]

Solving:

-7 + y = 3 + 2y

Solving for variable 'y'.

Move all terms containing y to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '-2y' to each side of the equation.

-7 + y + -2y = 3 + 2y + -2y

Combine like terms: y + -2y = -1y

-7 + -1y = 3 + 2y + -2y

Combine like terms: 2y + -2y = 0

-7 + -1y = 3 + 0

-7 + -1y = 3

Add '7' to each side of the equation.

-7 + 7 + -1y = 3 + 7

Combine like terms: -7 + 7 = 0

0 + -1y = 3 + 7

-1y = 3 + 7

Combine like terms: 3 + 7 = 10

-1y = 10

Divide each side by '-1'.

y = -10

Hope it helps. (:

#3 the answer is 4.
The reasoning for this is because x=-1 so if it is applied where x is at you have to subtract instead of multiplying in this equation. So 2xsquared is 2-1 which is 1. Same thing for 6x (6-1) which is 5. So the problem would end up being 1-5 which equals 4.

Hi!

Your answer is the 1st one, 36 inches of ribbon.

The question states this is a square picture frame. That means that all the side lengths are the same.

We are given a side length of 6 inches.

In order to find the area of a square, we multiply the length and the width together, but since they are the same value, we are just doing 6 x 6.

6*6=36
