Lucita does the division problem 3.302 ÷ -1.27, and gets -0.026. She doesn't understand this result because she had estimated th
e answer to be -3. What was Lucita's mistake? A: Lucita's estimate is too low.
B:The decimal point should be to the left of the 2.
C:The decimal point should be to the left of the 6.
D:Lucita's estimate is too high.
Thank you to those who end up helping, xx
Lucita does the division problem. My dad told me you divide the biggest number. (3.302) with the little valued number (1.27) She doesn't understand not because (A) her estimate is too low.
So that leaves A eliminated.
It shouldn't be B because, you have to count the numbers to the left of the decimal.
So that leaves B eliminated.
Let's talk about D, Her estimate is too high. But, take a risk. Either choose C or D. Good luck! I really think this would help thanks to my dad's method.
