PEMDAS
parenthesis
exponents
multiplication/division
addition/subtraction
this is the order of operations
start by multiplying -5 and 6 together
which is -30
then add -22
subtracting a number is the same as adding a negative number
-22 -30 = -52
The smallest positive integer n for which n^2 is divisible by 18 and n^3 is divisible by 640 is 120
The modulo (or "modulus" or "mod") is the remainder after dividing one number by another.
The smallest integer is 120, since:
mod 18 = 0, (reminder after dividing
by 18 is 0) and
mod 640 = 0 (reminder after dividing
by 18 is 0)
Hence, The smallest positive integer n for which n^2 is divisible by 18 and n^3 is divisible by 640 is 120.

The 10th position is the 6 right after the dot. The numeral right after the 6 is closer to the next number. So by rounding it, it becomes 9.7 If the digit to the right is 5 or more, you go up a numeral. If it is 4 or less, you keep it at the numeral that it is. If it had been 9.64 then we would have kept it at 9.6 Hope this helps
Answer:
80
Step-by-step explanation:
A certain company employs 6 senior officers and 4 junior officers. If a committee is to be created that is made up of 3 sr officers and 1 jr officer, how many different committees are possible?
8
24
58
80*
210
I initially got this one wrong, but after I saw the answer which is 80, I was able to solve it. But im not sure if this is the proper way of solving it, or if someone can suggest a more efficient way of solving it?
This is what I did, which was wrong:
Sr Officers + Jr Officers
(6!/3! 3! = 20) + (4!/3! = 4) = 24
It seems like the correct answer is:
Sr Officers X Jr Officers
(6!/3! 3! = 20) x (4!/3! = 4) = 80
If this is the most efficient way of solving, when do you know when to add them as opposed to multiplying them in this case?
Simplify the radical by breaking the radicand up into a product of known factors, assuming positive real numbers.
