Potassium Chloride = KCl

KCl has a molar mass of: 39.0983g+35.4530g=74.5513g

The number of moles of KCL we are adding is: 2g/(74.5513g/mol) = 0.02683 mol

But you have to keep in mind that salts in water dissociate:

KCl -> K+ + Cl-

So 1 mole KCl is 2 osmoles (because it’s two particles)

So if you add 0.02683 moles, you are adding 0.02683*2 = 0.05366 osmoles. If you dissolve them in 1 liter, you have a solution 0.05366 OsM = 53.66 mOsM

D5W = dextrose 260 mOsM

1/2 Normal Saline = has half of the normal saline concentration - a normal saline solution has the same sodium chloride concentration as blood serum = 154 mOsm

You have to sum up all the osmolarities:

= 53.66 mOsM + 154 mOsM + 260 mOsM = 467.66 mOsM

If Ca+2 would react with F-1, what do you predict to be the formula
ollegr [7]
It would be CaF2 because you will need to balance then so since F is -1 it'll need another one to balance with Ca +2

the atomic mass of magnesium is 24 daltons and the atomic number is 12. a. how many electrons does an electrically neutral magne
vekshin1

Atomic Mass will be 23 the new magnesium formed will be its isotope of magnesium.

We know that,

In stable condition

Number of electrons = Number of protons

Atomic number represents number of proton .

So, here number of proton is 12

Therefore, number of electron is 12

We know that -

Atomic mass = number of protons +Number of neutron

So if magnesium loses one neutron i.e. new number of neutron is 11

then its atomic mass changes.

New atomic mass will be

Atomic mass = 12 + 11

Atomic mass = 23

This new element with atomic mass 23 and atomic number 12 is the isotope of magnesium.
